A Personal Source For YOGA Instruction

As a top ranking professional athlete, mind/body educator, personal trainer, and Ashtanga Yoga instructor "Authorized" by the ASHTANGA YOGA RESEARCH INSTITUTE, Eagle has been expanding and evolving his physical and mental energies since early childhood.

In 1992, after Eagle won the Junior World Racquetball Titles in singles and doubles and was testing the waters on the Professional International Racquetball Tour (irt-tour.com) a reckless driver ran a traffic light and spun Eagle's vehicle and personal well being into turbulent chaos. Irreversible damage to Eagle's lower spine necessitated extensive surgery, including a sacral fusion of the lower vertebrae.

The doctors told Eagle that he would never play sports again.

Through inconceivable pain, emotional turmoil and insurmountable odds, Eagle regained his personal integrity through what he now refers to as FUSION, a broad tapestry of yoga asanas/postures, meditation, breathing, visualization, rhythmic entrainment, vegetarian lifestyle and affirmation exercises. In the spring of 1994 after nearly two years of intensive recovery, Eagle made an unprecedented comeback into the extremely physical world of professional racquetball. He quickly attained a position on the United States National Racquetball Team and ascended to be ranked as one of the TOP TEN players in the world. The doctors were stunned by his remarkable recovery.

Throughout his career, Eagle has facilitated numerous workshops and shared his personal insights and expertise with fellow athletes and students in Canada, Europe, Honduras, Japan, Jamaica, Mexico, Egypt, Singapore, Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India and the United States.

In 2001, Eagle retired from professional sports to devote himself to the study and teaching of the practices that made his recovery possible. Eagle embarked on an ambitious journey to seek out the preeminent living masters of the ART and SCIENCE of YOGA. This search led him to India, the birthplace of YOGA, where he spent 6 full months of both the years 2003, 2004 and 3 full months during the summers of the years 2005, 2006 and 2007 training under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute, www.ayri.org, (Mysore, India) as well having time with T.K.V. Desikachar (Chennai, India) and B.K.S Iyengar (Pune, India). Eagle also attended The Bihar School of Yoga (Bihar, India), Sivananda Yoga Ashram (Rishikesh, India), Vipassana Meditation Center (Kathmandu, Nepal and Dharmsala, India), Osho Commune International (Pune, India) as well as furthering his practice and experience through the study of the Kriya Yoga system passed down through the lineage of Paramahansa Yogananda, author of 'Autobiography of a Yogi'. (Dakshineswar, India outside Calcutta, India) and the Self-Realization Fellowship.

Eagle's living and training in India along with 18 years of previous experience with a myriad of yogic paths, has established a firm foundation in living YOGA. After extensively studying a broad range of styles, Eagle focuses on the Ashtanga Yoga system, which he has experienced to hold a vibrant universal key to personal health, vitality and self-knowledge. Eagle has continued to study/practice in India with Master Ashtanga Yoga teachers Sri K. Pattabhi Jois & Sharath Rangaswamy (www.AYRI.org) cultivating a teacher/student relationship that began several years ago. Eagle has been 'blessed' by being "Authorized" by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois to be an Instructor of this method of Ashtanga Yoga.

Eagle's FUSION of Yoga, Ayurveda (the Eastern Science of Self-Healing), Meditation, Monitoring and Controlling the RHYTHM of the BREATH along with the "PERCEPTION of FOOD as MEDICINE" empower his unique and powerful path of service. This FUSION along with Eagle's time, love and intention are shared in a direct and simple method to help guide YOU back into balance.

Eagle continues to refine and hoan these Eastern Yoga practices along with the highest Western training methods to be presented in his NEW first BOOK (to be available soon) titled: FUSION — Applications of the Science of YOGA for Sustaining Balance and Optimum Performance — FREEDOM!
