PINEAPPLE YOGA... ALOHA IN ACTION
The mission of pineapple yoga is to proliferate the
teachings of Ashtanga yoga as taught by our guru, Sri
K. Pattabhi Jois of the Ashtanga yoga research
institute in Mysore, India.These teachings will be available to the public on the garden island of Kauai through classes (group and private settings), lectures, printed materials, recorded materials, information packs, book/dvd distribution and community gatherings. Yoga is a 5000-year-old sustainable practice and philosophy serving mankind by supporting us to maintain balance and ease. It is not a religion! Pineapple Yoga Temple- DOCUMENTARY
"Where PRANA Meets MANA" Ashtanga Yoga East and
West, is the story of Eagle, a top ranking
professional athlete, Authorized Ashtanga Yoga
instructor, mind/body educator, and personal trainer.
Through Eagle’s story we will explore the benefits of
Ashtanga Yoga, its history, common misconceptions, and
how it’s taught in the traditional "Mysore Style".
The film will also explore the creation of a Pineapple
Yoga Temple on the North Shore Kaua’i. The temple will
be a replication of the teaching environment in
Mysore, India. Eagle has been given the blessing of
Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, R. Sharath and the Ashtanga Yoga
Research Institute to create the temple. This
documentary will be filmed on Kaua’i and in Mysore,
India this summer during the 93rd Birthday Celebration
of Yoga Master Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. (www.AYRI.org)
